Collected at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN in 2007, the Audiovisual Database of Spoken American English provides about seven hours of video data. The fourteen speakers spoke a North Midland variety and were between the ages of 19 and 61, with a mean of about 30 years old. The speakers must have lived in the dialect area from the majority of the time between their birth and turning 18 years old. The stimuli consisted of read syllables, word lists (238 words) and sentences (166 in total), targeting content used in clinical and academic settings.
